Billing and Payments

If you mention the word PayPal the chance is that most people have heard of it, and of these most people understand what PayPal is. They are a well known, and by that fact a trusted and reliable payment gateway. Synonymous with EBay, PayPal has become a standard for many internet transactions and we have elected to use them as our current payment gateway of choice.

All of Livestates payments are transacted through the PayPal portal and monitored with the MaxMind Fraud protection system. These two systems afford our clients complete transparency for payments and maximum security.

New and current Livestate clients will be able to pay hosting and add-on fees via PayPal, whether they are PayPal subscribers themselves or not. We would recommend to all of our clients to consider subscribing to PayPal as they will be able to monitor and track any payments made to Livestate.

There is, however, no obligation for our clients to subscribe to PayPal if they choose not to do so.

The Livestate Billing System runs on a monthly invoice cycle, with invoices being issued to clients on the monthly anniversary date of their initial sign-up.

  • 7 days prior to renewal an invoice is issued to each client
  • Clients login to their Client Portal and follow the instructions to pay their respective invoice
  • Payment confirmation and receipt is then issued to the clients email address

For annual renewable services such as SSL certificates and domain name renewals, invoices are issued to clients well prior to the renewal date, with consecutive reminders as the renewal date approaches. It is imperative that clients establish a good working practice of renewing domain names at least 1 month prior to their expiry.
