Fully managed web hosting

Of the three tiers of web hosting plans that Livestate offers, only the top-most tier, the Excel web hosting plans were fully managed.

Livestate would like to advise that effective immediately all web hosting plans are now fully managed. What this means for our current clients is that if you need any assistance with any area of your hosting, you can get in touch with Livestate support via our client portal, and open an Management Request.

We will be issuing a newsletter shortly to all current clients advising of this new upgrade and how clients can request assistance.

Domain name pricing

Following on from recent events, which saw the collapse and subsequent acquisition of Distribute IT's services by Netregistry, Livestate have pursued new avenues to provide competitive domain registration, renewal and transfer costs to our clients.

New domain pricing has now been introduced and is effective across our network. New top-level domain names will be added shortly.

We will be continuing to follow the process of recovery of DIT. To date no domain names registered through appear to have been affected.

New domain pricing to be updated

Following the disastrous attack on Distribute IT, we are unfortunately no longer able to register, transfer and renew domains with DIT. This is a disappointing decision to make as DIT have been supportive and permitted Livestate to offer great domain pricing to our clients and partners.

As of the 27th June Livestate will be offering domain registration, renewals and transfer via our new domain registrar at competitive pricing, with certain domain prices being able to be decreased.

Once we have implemented and ensured the new system is up and running we will advise everyone, and publish the new prices for domain names.

We would like to offer DIT a big thank you and wish them all the best in the future.

Distribute IT and domain registrations

We are continuing to follow the service restoration process at DIT and hope to see the guys back up to full service soon.

If the process of registering new domains encounters any technical issues we will ensure that client domains are registered/renewed with our alternate registrars.

Distribute IT in recovery

As some people may be aware Distribute IT was recently the target of a malicious and coordinated attack on their network which resulted in their services being severely affected.

As Livestate is a partner of DIT in the resale of DIT services primarily being the registration and renewal of domain names there is the possibility that this attack may have rolling consequences for us, as it has for other web hosts.

To date LSA has not been adversely affected, but we will continue to monitor the recovery process for DIT and we wish them the best while they get everything up and running again.

CPanel tutorials being added

Clients should see a host of new tutorials being added to the Tutorials section of the website. These video tutorials cover various areas of cPanel, however if you ever require assistance with your account please don't hesitate in contacting us.

Server migration

This process is currently underway and you should all receive emails advising you when your site will be migrated to the new servers. Clients should expect that their site may appear offline for a brief period, however we are ensuring that downtime is minimal or non-existent.

If you have any questions to ask during this process please don't hesitate in contacting us.
